Wanderlust: Rio de janeiro

Having a newborn has given me a bit of cabin fever, since its easier to stay at home then navigate outside while changing and feeding him every 2 hours! And since traveling abroad will be out of the question for at least this year, we’ll travel virtually, whose game? I’m kicking off a new series called Wanderlust and will pick a different country, city, state you name it and off we will go! Let me know if you have any suggestions!
Rio de janeiro has never been on the radar for me until I saw the kids movie Rio and man am I convinced! On our trip we make stops at Christ the redeemer statue (one of the new seven wonders of the world), ride the skyride to Sugar Loaf mountain, soak up sun on the beaches of Copacabana, shop the boutiques in Ipanema, and watch the samba parade at Carnaval!
