Where does the newborn photo session take place?
Our Newborn photo sessions take place in your home! Ive previously owned two studios, here and here. While there are advantage to having a studio, there are also specific perks for me to come to your home. In your home, I find the window with the biggest light, ideally a sliding screen door to the outside and set up everything I need there! Coming to your home means I can include your beloved furry members of the family as well as a special family heirloom pieces like cribs, the nursery, and special items.
Are the newborn photo sessions posed or more natural lifestyle?
I like to do a hybrid of both posed and lifestyle at each session. I am trained in safely posing newborns, however not every baby likes every pose and if I sense their discomfort, we move on quickly. Posing is only achieved with babies between 10-14 days old. Babies who are older want to stretch out and dont curl up in those tiny positions as easily. We include lifestyle images in every session which are more natural and candid.
What is the cost and who does the session include?
I include the newborn, parents, and siblings in my sessions if you opt for the newborn family session option which is $275. We also offer newborn mini sessions which is just baby for a great deal of $200. All my sessions include the digital image gallery for downloading too!
What to wear for our session?
For the baby, I typically wrap them and bring all the props you will need to create the looks you see above, you simply let me know your color preferences prior to the shoot. For your family pictures, I recommend solid or neutral colors and whatever you feel comfortable in, here are some samples:
When should we do the session and how to book?
We recommend booking the session when you are expecting, we like to get the babies in for the photo sessions between 10-14 days old to ensure easy sleepy posing!
