Fall Holiday Mini Photo sessions Fredericksburg Virginia 2024

It’s time friends, my favorite season (Fall) in Virginia is almost upon us and you don’t want to miss family photos to capture it all! Our Fall mini photo sessions were particularly popular and sold out quickly so you will want sign up for a slot fast to secure your spot! The fall season in Virginia can be short or long depending on the weather! But usually it’s at peak the last two weeks of October. Due to our sports travel schedule and an upcoming trip, my time will be a bit limited this year.

Cost

The fall sessions are $230 for 30 minute sessions with 30+images delivered in a downloadable gallery. Please note the Christmas Tree farm sessions are $250 for 30 minutes 50+ delivered images-and there’s a $5 per person entry fee to the farm. But your money goes to a wonderful family-owned farm which supports our local community and their grounds are beautiful to photograph, trust me. (pictures below)

You will receive your images in a week or less via a downloadable gallery. All images will be full edited and high resolution. You may print however you like, the gallery offers print options but you have no obligation to purchase.

Where

All Fall/Holiday Mini photo sessions will take place in Fredericksburg Virginia. This year we are offering more locations to give you a couple options! For Fall leaves, which are my absolute FAVORITE, the locations are Sunken Rd (historic site, downtown fredericksburg), Rappahannock Riverfront (Falmouth Beach side) and Chatham Manor-only in the morning for this location due to limited park hours. I will post what these spots look like down below. For the Riverfront- I need to verify the parking situation there, they may charge on the weekends but will update you.

Christmas/Holiday Sessions will be at Snead’s Farm in Fredericksburg, Va in late November when they open for tree sales! I photographed here last year and fell in love, it’s quite magical and easy to make a day at this farm with lots to do, including animals and playgrounds for the kids.

Sunken Rd Fredericksburg

This National Park spot has wonderful trails with a very country field look and amazing fall foliage plus historic rock wall. SIGN UP FOR FALL MINI PHOTO SESSION

Chatham Manor (morning only) Fredericksburg

This location is definitely one of the most popular locations in Fredericksburg for good reason, it’s stunning. There is always something blooming here, the gardens are gorgeous, the view of Fredericksburg is breathtaking and the fall foliage is spectacular. There is one catch, it’s morning times only because the park closes at 5pm everyday and that doesn’t always align with sunset times. Message me if you have your heart set on a sunset session here and that may work in November after the time change! SIGN UP FOR FALL MINI PHOTO SESSION HERE

Rappahannock Riverfront Fredericksburg

This location has multiple points of entry, pictured below is the Fredericksburg side, but I would only recommend it for older kids as the rocks on the river can be tricky to navigate. The more family friendly side for littles is the Falmouth Beach entry with very shallow water, a beach, lots of foliage and a view of the bridge! SIGN UP FOR FALL MINI PHOTO SESSION HERE

Snead’s Christmas Tree Farm

This Christmas tree farm was a dream to photograph last year, so I’m back for more. This farm doesn’t open until after Black Friday, so the dates are very specific for this location, but I return your images to you in less than a week, so timing isn’t an issue.

These sessions will sell out, if you did not get a spot, please email me – mariajohns@Me.com

I should be able to add a couple more openings! Thanks so much!
