Fredericksburg VA downtown wedding photoshoot

Yes, you read that right! This is a wedding photoshoot and it’s totally a thing! If the wedding day feels too much, too expensive, too heavy, this might be the perfect solution for you! A wedding photoshoot is when you are solely capturing photos in your gown and he’s in his best suit and the whole thing is dedicated to photos, truly a photographer’s dream.

Location

We did a couple iconic spots in downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia which gave the perfect backdrop for Jordin’s stunning gown, which glistened in the golden sunset light. Our first stop was at Chatham Manor, a must stop for Fredericksburg photos featuring a historical manor, English gardens and awe-inspiring view of downtown Fredericksburg on the other side of the manor. Im so well-versed with Chatham Manor that I have every nook and cranny down even if you’ve been here multiple times, I promise you aren’t familiar with my secret spots, highly recommend, 10/10. Secondly, we headed over to the rooftop of downtown Fredericksburg, Va giving perfect sunset views, and finished the night at Blue Cow ice cream for that cherry on top finish.

Choose your people

The thrill of a photoshoot like this is you can have as little or as many people join you as you want, it’s whatever you want and Im down for it all. In this case, both the mother of the bride and groom joined us and looked absolutely stunning in their gowns, really giving us more beautiful photo opportunities with those looks!

Florals & Gown

I highly recommend doing florals even just for photos, it brings a whole other element to the bride and groom and makes for even more fun photo opportunities! Jordin’s stunning bouquet is Flowers by Val in Fredericksburg. With this type of photo session you could easily do another dress in another location opening up a whole other abundance of photo ops!

Pricing

I typically charge by the hour so for an hour wedding photoshoot it’s $250, giving you 25 images and so on, please reach out via email to chat and coordinate your custom wedding photoshoot. This is something that would fit well within a wedding package too, check all my wedding packages here! You could do an additional (more casual) bridal gown photoshoot with your groom featuring a different location than your wedding venue on a different day during a different season giving your more pics, with zero stress of a timeline. Highly recommend checking out both Ava Laurenne and True Bride bridal shops downtown for the best options.
