Military Retirement Ceremony Photography

Looking for a photographer to photograph your military retirement, I’m your girl. These events are my thing! I have captured the emotion and heart of military retirements for 10+ years! From Okinawa to California and now currently serving the Northern Virginia area including Washington D.C.

Military Retirement ceremony invites and programs

Since retiring my own Marine Corps husband and planning our special event while simultaneously photographing dozens of retirements throughout the year, I have created resources to ease your own planning. I have free downloadable military invites and programs (in the works) which will be attached at the bottom of this post. These invites are fully customizable and free. These include the sequence of events and give ideas for each page of the program. If you aren’t in love with the programs provided and want something more creative, modern and fresh, please check my designs out! If you are going to spend a good amount of money on an event and people will be traveling from afar, it is worth it to hire a photographer. So you can sit back, relax and enjoy this massive milestone without having to snap phone photos. These events typically serve as a family reunion and I always always include large group portraits following the ceremony to capture everyone present. Many times we grab and entire group photo with everyone present and this can serve as a thank you card for those that attended! Family group portraits are extremely important to capture especially for the older members of the family, don’t miss the special opportunity to grab them.

Our military pricing packages include my time and the online downloadable gallery. These is a $30 travel fee for areas outside of 30 minutes radius of Fredericksburg where I live. Please check out our packages below!

The northern Virignia/ Washington D.C area provides multiple options of cool locations to host your military retirement ceremony. My opinion, make it as cool as possible, especially if you are planning to have photos taken> let the backdrop of the location do the heavy lifting for your photos. My favorite military retirement locations are the Marine Corps Musuem atrium ( the middle of the museum) and of the D.C museums, National Archives, or any place of special meaning for you and your family.
