Pick a weekday

Just had a great day at King’s Dominion in Viginina because of two things, no lines and great weather!! We picked a weekday (Friday) when everyone isn’t out of school yet and an odd time like 3pm to close!! Minimal people, no lines and the kids had a great time riding their favorite rides more than a few times!!

Other helpful tips

Download the park app before you go, it has all the show times, special events, and closings. Bring your own water bottle, this proved helpful in order to avoid their high cost beverages. Eat before you go. I’m gonna be honest, the food options were not great nor was the taste, but I am a foodie and have a gluten intolerance. I had gluten free snacks in my bag too, they didn’t seem to mind at the bag check! Those snacks were my saving grace! Kings dominion seasonal events!

Get the Annual Pass

The annual pass is worth every penny. It’s paid for itself twice over and saved us so much money on parking and discounts on any food you purchase in the park. We live within 30 minutes so utilizing the park on those off days/times with the annual pass has been a great blessing and worth every cent, highly recommend.
