Seattle- Top 4 must do with kids

Finally checked Seattle off my bucket list, its been on it forever!! The emerald city didn’t disappoint and we had perfect weather! Here’s our top 4 picks in the Seattle area with kids!
1. Space Needle
While the views were stunning, the sticker shock surprised me for the ride up the needle! It cost $100 for a family of four to go up!? But its once in a lifetime right? I love a good lookout tower and the views of snow-capped mountains were worth it!

2. Artists at Play Playground

You know when your traveling and you come upon unknown gems that aren’t even on the map. This is one of them. We had to pry the kids away from this unique one of a kind park. I present to you the most creative park with spectacular views of the space needle as your backdrop. Also, its free!

3. Pike Place Market & Gum Wall

Arguably the most famous farmer’s market in the U.S. Its worth the visit, especially to see the iconic fish throw. However we made the mistake of visiting on a weekend, it’s shoulder to shoulder in there- hold on to your kids! The gum wall, more like gum alley is just around the corner from Pike place and if you have kids with you, they will be so enraptured. Don’t forget to bring your gum and contribute to the work of art!
If there’s one thing you purchase at Pike place, let it be Mt. Rainier cherries, seriously life-changing.
4. Alki Beach

Alki beach was a beautiful welcomed break from the city. If your kids are like mine, they need a day to run and be free, this beach was the ticket. Scenic views and a low tide- perfect for beach combing and digging up dungeness crabs! Alki beach is also home to Duke’s chowder house featured on the Food Network. You best believe I sampled their chowder, the lobster mobster pernod chowder will light up your life. Also, bonus it was gluten free.
P.s Alki beach is featured in the movie Sleepless in Seattle where Tom Hanks and his son flew kites! Like I said, its a gem even Tom thinks so!
One of the absolute highlights of our trip was our airbnb, perfect for a larger group, slept 8, check it out!
