What’s in a name?

To answer that question…..EVERYTHING!!!! Months before Gideon was born, I knew he was going to be a boy and his name would be Gideon. My husband’s pick, perfectly befitting a military son, considering the name means warrior; man of valor; and destroyer.
The minute that child entered the world a force of love came over me I had never known, the old cliche “motherhood changes everything” applied. I’ve never been the same. So my two year old tot has lived up to every aspect of his name…..small but mighty (stronger than an ox) an avid destroyer (imagine bull in a china shop), and a warrior spirit that never gives in (making discipline ever challenging). He’s made my exhausting 12 hr night shifts as a nurse feel like a walk in the park.  The newfound respect I have for mothers across the world is immeasurable!
So moral of the story: choose your names wisely because your child will live up to them!!!
