A contented mind is a perpetual feast….love that saying and am always ready for a good feast! Our bible study is currently delving into “Calm my anxious heart” which I should probably read daily. Calming this wayward hyper -heart of mine is a monumental ongoing task!! I mean, I sort of maintain a constant state of frenzy and excitement at all times, thus landing me a spot on the gymnastics team as a youngster and the nickname “SPUNKY” during my first year as a nurse!! Even my leisurely stroll is a brisk walk, which completely annoys my husband and sister!
I’m always stepping on God’s toes, planning the future before it exists, creating a discontented heart; racing Him to the finish line, only I end up the loser. I actually planned my entire wedding before I was engaged, so come time for the “real” event the wind was knocked out of my sail and so was my joy. It’s ironic really to see the mind-blowing contentment of children living in third world countries verses my constant state of “hunger” for the next thing or event or life experience! Hogwash! Enough! The grass is actually never greener on the other side! Discontentment and striving is exhausting. I’m ready to dine at the perpetual feast of the contentment table!

2025 is the year of the wedding for me!! This snowy engagement session pretty much made my day when I arrived to 50 degree weather in Richmond at the botanical gardens! We headed straight for the Japanese section and it was magical!
