Fredericksburg Virginia Photoshoot Locations

Downtown Fredericksburg

Take a walk around town and take advantage of all that gorgeous historical brick and all the fun alleyways. Keep in mind what might not look like a great photo spot could turn out to be a diamond in the rough! Take the picture and you’d be surprised how different and good it will look in camera. All the great colors and textures are wonderful backdrops for family photos.

Riverfront

The riverfront area in Fredericksburg is gorgeous and perfect for photos! Look at those great water reflections and gorgeous light bouncing all around, that’s the power of water and light playing together! Highly recommend this setting for family photos, toddlers who love water- play and high school senior sessions, just breath taking.

Spotsylvania County Museum

This is a newer to me location in Fredericksburg down the Route 3 with incredible light + a silos, farm look in the background! Do note, this area is popular with photographers so you may see quite a few there snapping away!

Chatham Manor

Gorgeous historical grounds, greenery and wide open spaces! Colonial home heaven, this spot is a gem and such an iconic location in Fredericksburg. Perfect for families, learn the history and take advantage of the gorgeous setting. This is one of my favorite picks for photoshoots, however at the time of writing this post, they close at 5pm everyday. So this location is best for Spring and Fall, in particular morning photos!

Sunken Road

This is a lovely secret hidden gem, nestled in downtown Fredericksburg with a country setting, trails and a scenic overlook of the city! One of my favorite spots for Fall.
