Strawberry picking in Northern virginia

I’ve got two strawberry lovers in the household, so strawberry picking was high on our summer bucket list in northern Virignia. We live super close to Braehead farm, but even if we didn’t I’d still be a regular visitor! Our other Braehead farm visit here! It is so super kid friendly with playgrounds in the backyard and they offer fresh vegetable picking pretty much year round. So since we are in summer, strawberry picking has promptly begun as early as May! For our Okinawa Japan strawberry picking adventure click here!

When we went they offered strawberries, blueberies, blackberries, and raspberries. We found the strawberries and blueberries ripe for picking. The blueberry bushes were true works of art and were such a treasure to take pictures of, I had never seen those in person, what a treat. Shiloh was eating everything in sight, right off the ground>pure JOY.
